What lab report consistency means
A report is internally consistent when connected values, labels, calculations, visuals, and claims agree with the evidence they cite.
Consistency is a relationship
A sentence can be grammatical and still disagree with its table. Consistency review follows dependencies between raw values, calculations, results, figures, claims, and assignment requirements rather than judging each paragraph alone.
Proofreading solves a different problem
Proofreading addresses spelling, punctuation, clarity, and local expression. Stabilize quantitative evidence and cross-section references first, then proofread the final wording so late corrections do not reopen polished prose.
Agreement is not scientific truth
An upstream mistake can be copied perfectly into every section. Internal agreement is therefore one necessary report property, not validation of the experiment, method, data authenticity, interpretation, or grade outcome.
What evidence-linked feedback contains
A useful finding identifies the statement being checked, its governing source, the comparison rule, and the next verification action. It preserves the student's authorship instead of silently rewriting the submission.
